Bluege, a third baseman in the 1910's/ 1920's who later became a
manager, was not much of a hitter. A year in which he hit. 285 was a
good one for him, even in a high average/ lots of runs era. However,
Bluege rivaled a similar third baseman, Willie Kamm of the White Sox,
