Another time saving method of filling the game larder.
At dusk, take a large salt lick, place in a convenient hollow where antelope or deer are known to frequent. Set up powerful battery spotlight aimed at salt lick, load rifle and wait.
The deer or antelope will show up to lick the salt. When you hear them, turn on the spotlight and the deer will freeze in the beam. Take your time and knock them off.
Highly illegal, but the folks who do this (some of my relatives) aren't real big on game control laws.
