Mixed Breed 1

Doubling up on breeds that have common health problems has to be, by far, the dumbest breeding ethic out there. These breeders clearly have no medical awareness of what they are doing and unfortunately neither do the poor innocent pet owners being scammed into buying these dogs. These breeders claim no health testing is needed for this newly developed breed because they are so healthy.

If you guys want to find "Healthy" mutts, go to your local Shelter and Adopt. As that's exactly what your going to have in a few years anyways, for a MUCH lesser price. How many "Designer" breeders do you know that include at minimum a Two Year Genetic Health Warranty. Not Congenital but Genetic. None, that's right. If there dogs are so Healthy why arent they being Health tested? OFA and CERF both allow mutts in the registry. Think people, Think.

If you want to adopt from a shelter or rescue I am behind that 100% and you will have nothing but my most admiration for doing so. But to spend over $1000.00 on a dog, whose breeders are nothing but a glorified PM is just ridiculous.

Hmmm whats the differnce if you find a healthy mutt you like and want to pay the price why go to a shelter if you dont want to and get someones used dog that they may not have been able to handle or for what reason did they put the dog in the shelter in the first place! I know some are their because people can't afford them but I also know alot are their because of the personality problems of the dog, more this than people just not being able to care for them! Oh well I really dont' care if people get their dogs from wherever, I just know I have the ori pei breed and he is a wonderful breed I would recommend this breed for sure!!!! We all have our opinions!

Dogs end up in shelters because of BAD owners,it has nothing to do with dogs. People get puppies and don't bother to train, socialize or bond with the dog and then they dump them. Some dogs don't fit a particular lifestyle, but if they have good owners, they will find a good home for them. No good owner would dump a dog in a shelter. Some shelter dogs require a little extra work, but is so worth it and no big deal to a responsible, commited dog owner.

My purebred poodle was from a shelter and my pekepoo was from a breeder ($250.00 considerably less than the thousand dollar price tag you mentioned. ) a good find on a dog is a good find regardless of how you come about it. but I agree, rescue=lives saved. Kudos to those who get their mutts/designer dogs from rescue organization.

Absolutely agree with you. The modern trend of "designer dogs" is disgusting commercialism and materialism at it's worst. And meanwhile, each morning in America, as many as twenty thousand wonderful shelter dogs are put to sleep.

I worked with a lady that shows and is a reputable breeder breeding Yorkies. And she thinks that all these yorkiepoos are a big slap in the face. Why? Because she's try to make the breed better and there's ignorant people that are in it for the money. She also does not do teacups or micros.. Thats not a AKC standard. I think it's stupid to pay thousands of dollars for a dog with a crazy name. Shelter is your best bet. I own a purebred husky...if I see a husky/poodle mix....I would freak out. They are beautiful dogs on their own...why make them ugly? They are going to shed regaurdless. Stupid People.....
