War of The Worlds (2005)

Based on the novel by H.G. Wells, and remake of the 1953 film, directed by Steven Speilberg and starring Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning, Miranda Otto, Justin Chatwin, Tim Robbins, Rick Gonzalez, Yul Vazquez, Lenny Venito, Lisa Ann Walter, Channing Tatum, Booker T. Decent special effects, pretty good story, except for a few rather odd plot malfunctions.

An excellent chilling performance from Tim Robbins in a minor role.

And then there is Tom Cruise in the lead...... I'm reminded of a girl of questionable self-esteem in high school who could screw the entire basketball team. Tom has her beat. He can screw an entire movie.
