Let me tell you our nightmare with this company. We signed up last fall for the family plan, the circle of friends, and nights starting at 7 instead of 9. The first few billings, the billing wasn't correct and each time we'd call, they would say they could correct it on the NEXT billing, but not the current billing, and would not reimburse for the mistakes, which were THEIRS.
We just moved, only 5 miles away from where we were living, and there is NO service here, not even a bar. We went to them and told them we wanted to cancel without fees because they cannot provide us service. They told us they were building a tower out here eventually, but couldn't say when. They also said they could cancel it, but would have to go "through channels." These channels have taken 3 billing periods now, 3 periods without any service.
After much searching, I managed to find the number for the home office in Arkansas. Talked to a lady there who said she would check on it and get back. 3 days later we called her back. Get this, she said because there is service if we drive to a town, they can't stop the service. They think it's perfectly okay to have to hop in the truck and drive to town to use the phones. She said the best she would do is not charge the 250 cancellation fee per phone (3) and only charge it for one phone. Keep in mind we have now been charged an additional 2 months of service we can't even use!!!
I do not understand how a company can get by with charging you a fee for a service they can't provide. I did make a complaint to the better business bureau and to the attorney general in their state and our state (Tennessee). What crooks!
