Science 3

Unfortunately, many people do treat science as a religion. Example:

Those who bought the specious idea that artificial infant formula was an improvement over mothers' milk.

UPDATE:

Science in its purest form is an attempt to explain the workings of the universe.

It hasn't always succeeded.

The intellectually lazy might say the same of religion.

The idea that artificial baby formula was better than mother's milk was not a contention of the scientific community. It was a marketing ploy by the companies that made and sold such swill. People should get the facts straight before they venture opinions.

My review had to do with the suckers who fell for the ploy, not with who was responsible for promulgating such pseudoscientific claptrap.

that's not the fault of science though?

if someone was to incorrectly believe Iraq and Iran were the same place would that be the fault of geography?

Did someone fault science?
