Service is becoming a bad word, unless it refers to serve oneself. Fewer and fewer are willing to serve the country and serve others. Rather, they expect to be served, it is their "constitutional" right, if they even know what the Constitution is. I have heard comments that the fathers of our nations who sacrificed their wealth, health and even lives for the benefit of the nation, were plainly stupid. We teach por children to demand rights, and tell them that others should serve, not them. Tell your child that he should serve in the armed forces and they will mention your mother in not a nice manner. If your child tells you he wants to serve in the armed forces, you will take him to a psychiatrists and check him out. It's "I, me and mine" and to hell with the rest.
