I don't think he's in consideration but he wouldn't be a bad choice for McCain, probably the best of the also rans for the GOP nod.
There does seem to be some personal animosity between the two, and while bedfellows makes for strange politics and vice versa, it may indeed be a deal killer.
And let me take this opportunity to talk about the perceived "necessity" of McCain having to balance the ticket by picking a hard-line social conservative. It wouldn't hurt, but its not an absolute requirement, when you look at the math.
After all, its not like those folks are going to back either Obama or Clinton, and while they may choose to stay home, or endorse a "family values" third party candidate, a great many of them would hold their noses and vote GOP. This minimizes the risk factor for McCain considerably.
