Harris was a good player/ manager- a second baseman in the late 1910's and early 1920's who was still a kid in his 20's when he managed Washington to a Series win in 1924 and a pennant the following year. Harris also managed quite a few other clubs after that, including the 1947 Series winning Yankees. Harris also managed some pretty bad teams as well, but made the Hall of Fame.
