I find dumb loyalty quite a turn-off. If a company has been screwing me over, I'll go work for the competitors who will pay me better and see if they'll treat me fairly. My husband has insisted to be loyal to his prior employer, and regardless how unhappy with the treatment he was getting there, he still decided that he'd play fairly and told them that he would be leaving. Well, because of that they decided to fire him before he leave.
