Remember the remark about invading Pakistan if necessary to eliminate
al Qaeda, later saying, "I did not say that we would immediately go in
unilaterally. "What I said was that we have to work with Pakistan's
Musharraf."
“They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people
who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade
sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations,” He says he didn't
mean it to come across that way.
When asked how we would respond to another major al-Qaeda attack on the
U.S., he talked about disaster response. Shortly after he said that WE
mis understood HIM.
Heres one about reasons why the U.S. may be struggling in the war in
Afghanistan. "Arabic translators deployed in Iraq are needed in
Afghanistan" Really? Afghans don't speak Arabic. Oops.
Yesterday Obama calls a Michigan reporter "sweetie" when asked what he
would do for the workers at the auto plant he was visiting. When confronted with an unscripted question...he can't reply with a unscripted answer.
Say what you want about Bush and his gaffes, I don't really disagree, but how is it possibile that such a fine speaker like Obama get misunderstood more than Bush?
It seems that every other week Obama has to apologize to someone.
