Jupiter's significance in future space exploration is more appealing for its moons that the planet itself. From Io, with massive and extraordinary volcanic activity which may turn out to be virtual furnaces of metal extraction and processing, to Europa which seem to contain frozen water miles deep, and could become a major water supply for planetary explorations.
