The rating of the reviewer would still be accumulated, but the review itself would be rated based on it's quality and content, rather than the popularity or lack thereof of the reviewer.

What is to become of RIA? A secret society of hooded reviewers? Great suggestion...from a person who wants to be insulated from interacting with people in a free and open manner.

Anonymity would NOT mask most reviewers...especially when their words produce a low, dull, whiny droning sound...

05/16/2008		I think the argument is that of the "blind taste test" variety. What? I like Pepsi better than Coke? And all these years I thought I liked Pepsi better. It would be a way to distil judgment on a review down to the review itself, without being influenced by the person's reputation or history. There's some merit here - but unfortunately, people behave like beasts when they're totally anonymous.

05/16/2008		Cyclee...the "No Soup!" is a reference to one of the more memorable Seinfeld episodes. There's a soup kitchen called "Soup Nazi" and if you ask, even in the most polite manner, the Soup Nazi bans you. "No Soup! One Year!"

05/16/2008		From what I've seen on the net, anonymity would make the reviews quite insane! I'm not sure where this suggestion comes from though. Perhaps he feels were not paying enough attention to him because of his history.
