the problem with the shafts coming out is a problem yamaha knows about but they say they have never heard of it but they have and have fixed some for some people. they replace the gear in side as well as the inner part of the shaft on both sides. it is caused by a bad design in the gear and c-clips they used. if any body wants info about mods or upgrades for your yamaha atv check out grizzlyowners.com it is a good site
