Obama has run a campaign based on broad calls for change, which is a smart strategy given that people are anxious for it. Obama's strategy is to give few specifics and speak in soaring language. Doing this will offend a minimal amount of people while appealing to the public's imagination. Will it work? It just might, Obama has proven himself to be formidable, if at times thin skinned, especially when approached with criticism.
