He's Old 1

The first thing that comes to mind is Ronald Reagan. He was shot at the age of 70...just 69 days into his Presidency...finished his term AND a second term.

I'll have what he was having...

Update: Once in a while I ask myself, "What are these people on?" Forget about McCain's age for a moment (nearly 72). Even Hillary's (61). Or Barack's (46). Think about YOUR age. Another reviewer left a pithy comment about McCain not running for the Olympics ; )   But, in a way...they actually are. The campaign trail is a grueling marathon. They just gotta be getting some help besides a morning shot of OJ. They can't get up on any particular morning a decide that they "don't wanna do nuthin'" today. They are driven like sled dogs. It's not normal...

A good, and bad example. Alzheimer's was kicking in towards the end of the second term I think.

But, you wanna know something? Politics aside, I revere this guy for being able to recover after getting shot at that age. And it's not like a little corner Mom and Pop store was at risk. He was the frickin' Prez. I wanna be strong and healthy enough to take a bullet at that age. As far as the Alzheimers goes...it wasn't detected until after his 2nd term after he fell off a horse and got a concussion requiring surgery. He wasn't diagnosed with it until 1994...

I agree. There's something inspiration about a big, strong, tough old man.
