Born on May 6, 1856 in Freiberg (now Pribor), Moravia, Sigmund Freud was an early pioneer in modern psychology. As the discoverer of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud developed dream therapy, the Oedipus complex concept, and theories on human sexuality. Sigmund Freud died from cancer in London, England on September 23, 1939.
