Mostly serving as a backup, Johnny was an outfielder who came to Texas in a trade with Cleveland during the 1978 season and played for the Rangers through 1982.

2.5 Reserve outfielder/ pinch hitter/ semiregular type, had a pretty decent and fairly long career and used to kill the Red Sox while with this team and Detroit, as did another guy who spent some time here: Bill Stein.
