Iams 4

let me ask all u guys against the product iams. remember long before dogs;there were wolves;which are dogs' ancestors. they ate animals even with diseases and bacteria and so on forth.they made it through;like us they have an immune system to fight off.so you cant tell me these little "bad ingredients" are going to kill a dog.We eat so much junk with by the way, fillers.Do we die from it? No.It all depends on the dog's immune and what its able to handle. There's been recalls on these expensive brands;there's always gonna be recalls no matter what. And on that case of corn gluten;dont blame the dog foods BLAME China for trying to kill our dogs;and what bout led that was found in children's toys from China. If usa was smart as we thought it was;itd wouldnt depend on other countries for inports and exports.& so at that iams isnt as bad as you put it out to be.Even my dad's dog lived 15 years from KIbbles n bits which by the way has by far the worst ingredients compared to what u guys are saying.Iams may have the by product but remember wolves survived from that;and was practically all they ate.Its in dogs' blood to survive, remember that.

The fact that the ingredients in the food are of poor quality, really doesn't have much to do with the dog's "immune system being able to handle it or not." The Immune system fights off disease and infection, harmful pathogens, etc. This is more of an issue of the poor quality ingredients being used that aren't suited to the natural digestive ability of a dog. Foods like Iams (although it's definitely not the worst food out there) are not meat based as they should be, they are corn or wheat based, with minimal meat content. The grains are hard to digest and put stress on the dog's digestive system. Things like by-products will up the protein content in the food, but they are not easily digestible at all, in contrast to fresh, whole, more expensive muscle meat. All in all, foods using these poor ingredients simply put unnecessary stress on the dog's body organs and systems. It's as simple as that, it doesn't have to do with the immune system being able to handle it or not. In fact, the stress and upset of such body organs, may contribute to a lower immune system at the end of the day.
