eHarmony 1

EHarmony matched my ex-fiance and I in May 2006. We were engaged 6 months later and we emailed eHarmony to thank them for matching us. In October/Novmeber 2007, they requested that we advertise for them but we declined advising them that we were to marry within 6-12 months.
In May 2008, I dump my fiance and advised Stephanie York from eHarmony so that they know of the fact that we had terminated our engagement and to warn them about the fact that he used me for his own gain in the 2 years that we were together and that I had discovered that he had cheated on me. The day after I emailed eHarmony, I found out that my ex re-registered and paid for his membership 3 months before I dumped him. His profile was changed a little and that is how I found out that he had not only cheated on me, but eHarmony helped me start and end my relationship with this liar and cheater and that eHarmony does not do anything to check re-joining members. I was never asked about the status of our engagement. Thank God I did not marry this cheater.

You should have not informed them of your engagement termination. If you had let them believe you were still getting married and they used it in their ad, that could have been used by your state Attorney General's office, or even the FTC as major grounds for fraud in advertising. That could have done more harm to E-HARMony than all these complaints (on Rate-It), combined.

You should still go to the media with your story.
