Felice laid on the bed while I labored, allowing my doula to do all of the work.  It seems like she doesn't really like what she does for a living and might be sick or preoccupied or something.

OMG, some people just don't understand.. if you have your prenatal with a doctor or a midwife, you get to know them ... you don't wait until the last min to feel bad about it. What you describe sounds like she was leting you have your 'time for yourself', while she was there supporting you.. Do you think in the hospital, the Dr. stays next to you?

I have both my children with SNBC, in 1990 and 1997. I have interpreted over many births in hospitals, even seen two emergency c-sessions.

I can tell you from my experience- THERE ARE NO OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS WORLK LIKE Rick and Felice. To me, they are angels.
