How do you know they're fake/fraudulent profiles?

I agree, how the hell is match.com supposed to keep track and do background check on every single person that goes on there, thousand of people sign up every day, it is up to US users if we see any kind of weird activity to report it and take propper precautions, this happens everywhere even in real life with people you might meet at the supermarket or a bar.
