The Shining (1980)

Based on a book by Stephen King and directed by Stanely Kubrick. Starring Jack Nickolson as Jack, Shelley Duval as Wendy, and Danny Lloyd as Danny. The Torrance family travels to a hotel to be caretakers during the winter off season. While Jack settles into to writing his book, Wendy and her son Danny soon learn the hotel has a sinister side.

good plot line, Jack Nicholson was scary as can be, n his son w/ the "Redrum" business - this one scared me too, but I'd already read the book, so not as bad as The Exorcist - but c'mon, the acting was stellar
