Bill Spooner was born in El Paso, TX in 1957. He started as an NBA referee in 1989. He has officiated 49 playoffs games, and has gathered officiating experience including 7 years of collegiate in the PAC-10, Big West and West Coast conferences and in the NCAA tournament, and 5 years of high school officiating experience in California.
