I am a former professional in the financial services industry and I think I have a strong sense of Lehman. My experience with Lehman is in New York City and other locations differ, I'm sure. I think Lehman financial professionals may have a sincere interest in their customers but I think the investor can find superior service at a different firm such as Goldman. Overall, Lehman as an institution does not have the excellent quality of employees or operations in place to deliver on their sincerity. Lehman certainly has some "star" talent but these few can not carry the entire firm. If you don't mind excessive bureaucracy, some disorganization, and possibly slower execution time, you may feel comfortable at Lehman if you find the right professional for your personality and needs.
