If thats all you care about is celebrating holidays then you don't need eternal life. Life is more than celebrating holidays everytime it comes around. Your just looking for a way to have fun. If the religion doesn't involve having fun count me out. I bet if going to church was you worshiping the devil I bet you would do it just becaue you can celebrate a holiday.

Holidays are holy days. What the rest of humanity considers holy days exalt men, races of men, or nations of men...and while holy used to be actually something which meant respect and sanctity, I tend to agree with CJerry that it is more of a chance to have fun...but on a certain theme. Though, I don't mean to hurt any feelings saying it.
Personally, the one that most feel sorry for me on is Christmas. However, I just want to let you know how Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus feels about it. And this way you know we don't feel hurt or left out.
Imagine that an unruly mob gathered outside your house, supposedly to celebrate your birth (imagine you never asked for this - and no worshiper of God in the Bible ever did) but instead they mess up your yard while giving EACH OTHER presents and dressing trees in imitation of ancient tree worship, speaking about getting gifts of favor from an ancient Norse god currently called Santa Clause (which is actually derived from a man called Nimrod who was a hater and enemy of your Father and created the first world government to oppose your Father's will, which you are dedicated to fulfilling).
On top of that many start drinking alcohol in large amounts or do other thing to disrespect your life's work and cause a ruckus.
As well, they display images of your painful death while others choose to depict you as a helpless little baby instead of a king and judge that deserves obedience, respect and honor.
Finally, even some well meaning people who really love you show up not understanding that you have nothing to do with this celebration and they proceed to imitate and share with these others!!
That is how JW's feel about Christmas. So don't concern yourself that they or their children are missing something. They love each other all year long.
However, holidays are opportunities to have secular work off so that Jehovah's Witnesses can share Bible principles with their neighbors...so keep em coming.
