enjoyed the music at washington square (lavay) and another at the green street stage. i thought the food variety was great but agree that in the late afternoons, these street fairs just show SFers wasted drunk messy people, a poor image for our tourists and a bad impression upon very young eyes & minds. i say take away the beer and make it a TRUE fest!!! you dont need alcohol to have a good time.... it's too bad that money trades hands and there will always be alcohol and thus a dirty impression of these otherwise good street fairs. JMHO
