ian has been a hero - no, THE hero of mine - for thirty plus years. incredible songwriter, incredible performer, incessant tour-er, consummate showman. his religious views have done a lot to temper my own. my only regret is that he was probably an SOB for twenty or thirty years, at least in terms of being the boss in the band. however, i think he's softened a bit the past decade.
