Charley Steiner's sports broadcasting experience includes co-hosting ESPN's "SportsCenter," serving as ESPN's primary boxing reporter, and doing play-by-play for Major League Baseball. Prior to joining ESPN, Steiner worked at WABC Radio in New York City, where he handled morning sports reports and play-by-play for the New York Jets.

 


Munson

Charley is very underrated. He does a great job on SportsCenter - he knows sports and doesn't take himself too seriously (his work doing play by play for MLB games leaves a little to be desired in my book). Plus, the best ESPN commercials are the ones with him. There was one that aired only once (it was pulled because Nike threatened to sue) and was a take-off on Nike's "I am Tiger Woods" campaign with children saying "I am Charley Steiner." Just thinking about it makes me laugh.
