The Shining (1980)

Based on a book by Stephen King and directed by Stanely Kubrick. Starring Jack Nickolson as Jack, Shelley Duval as Wendy, and Danny Lloyd as Danny. The Torrance family travels to a hotel to be caretakers during the winter off season. While Jack settles into to writing his book, Wendy and her son Danny soon learn the hotel has a sinister side.

this is one of my favorite scary movies, I think this was one of Stephen King's best books
