Otis Redding

Born in 1941, Otis Redding released his first CD, "Pain in My Heart," in 1964. Some of his most popular songs include "(Sittin' On) the Dock of the Bay," "Respect" and "Tramp." Redding died in a plane crash in 1967.

A very good soul singer. Had he lived, he might have recorded the Barry Gibb-Robin Gibb composition "To Love Somebody" which was written for him.
