Barack Obama 2

Is Obama in Hawaii getting some serious warnings and counsel from his gran mother? Where does Biden dark omen fit into this?

Update: As I was watching the development of the elections and the results coming in, I could not help but feel a deep shame for my fellow Christians who have voted for a candidate who has publicly expressed he supports abortion rights. It is definitely a sign of the end times where life is considered a commodity and a merchandise. I cannot imagine how a ...  Read Moretrue Christian could live with his/her conscience knowing that the butchery of innocent, defenseless children will continue and they will never have a chance to celebrate a single birthday. At a rate of 1 million abortions a year, we are looking forward to another 4 million victims of the worst genocide committed by mankind, especially Americans. May God have mercy on their souls even as they have turned their back to God and become accomplices to murder.

Apostasy has won. And Christ has lost a great number of followers on the altar of money and convenience.

I am ashamed... and hurting.

What's your evidence that Obama has a "surrender" policy? I totally disagree about that. I think Obama will be a huge improvement over Bush's doctrinaire "let's force democracy upon other countries" and his knee-jerk sabre-rattling. I think Obama will be less confrontational but also tough. I think he will eliminate terrorists militarily. Witness his statements about using our military in Afghanistan instead of Iraq, hunting down Osama bin Laden, and tracking down Al Queda in Pakistan if Pakistan is unwilling to do the job.

paul623 commented 485 days ago.
Please listen to Obama's message about our needing to deal with Bin laden in Afganistan and Pakistan. And by the way do you think that Regan secretly selling milatry parts, technical weapons and missals to Iranians in order to get the hostages out on his swearing in day a tough act? The Republicans while embracing God in reality use the most unchristian methods, like lying to everyone and selling us out. In other words, the ends justify the means. Not a moral act, but a lack of morals.

I dont care how many RIA reviews disagree. I am TOTALLY with u!!

lmorovan commented 410 days ago.
Astromike, I am happy to learn that there are still a few reasonable people left in RIA and in America. I am amazed of how many people are voting their pocketbooks and throw away their consciousness, morals and ethics. Thanks for your position.

MariusQelDroma commented 410 days ago.
LM, this reasonable person is not likely to vote for either candidate that the party machinery has presented. At this point, the question in my mind is who to write in.

You want a man as Commander and Chief who will send your troops to Afghanistan, but thinks they're cold blooded murders? A man who can't give a clear reason why he didn't want to vote a law in that had to do with saving a baby from a botched abortion? A man who's going to push for change that involves encouraging a complacency and mediocracy? I see how passionate he is about what he does not like about America and wishes to change, but not so much belief in his fellow citizens to allow them to be their own master's. Someone explain to me why it's the employer's responsibility to pay for health care? Why isn't it Why should one boss be forced to pay the health care of thirty employees? Hasn't he done enough to hire them? An absolutely stupid idea. Perhaps we should have the churches pay for the healthcare of their parishoners, the Boy Scouts of America pay for the kids enrolled in their programs, maybe pay the Senators 25K a year and give the rest of their paychecks to pay for the health care of their constituents and when they run out of money, we can get their wives to pitch in... They don't need that house they bought, sell it, live smaller, be responsible and patriotic, and live like the common, working Joe. Good post Imorovan

LM, this is personally for you. You have no right to say somebody isn't a Christian by who they vote for. You're not my judge or jury. Only God can do that. I had the privilege of knowing a lovely elderly Christian lady, and she went to be with the Lord a year or two ago. She was very "old-school" Christian and had very strong convictions. She only wore dresses, no makeup, stuck with her King James Bible, and didn't even allow playing cards in her house. But guess what? She told me she was a Democrat! And now I'm going to address one more issue. We all have to get the plank out of our own eyes before pointing out the speck in someone else's. I could always turn it around and say someone else is not a Christian for all the hateful spewings aimed at others. But that's not up to me.

MissPackRat4Jesus commented 410 days ago.
http://rateitall.com/i-953492-the-assumption-that-a-true-christian-must-always-be-a-republican.aspx. Do you realize what you said in this link, LM? Let's not be hypocritical. :-)

lmorovan commented 410 days ago.
Pro choice agenda is wicked and abominable. Anyone supporting a pro choice candidate is supporting that which the candidate stands for. "You are either with me or against me" said Jesus Christ. Supporting Obama is not standing with Jesus Christ. That doesn't mean standing with McCain is. But, supporting abortion is a sin before God. Christians should be clear where they stand. And Obama calls himself a Christian? LOL.

MissPackRat4Jesus commented 410 days ago.
Let me say something. For anyone to say someone is not a Christian for voting Democratic is very unfair. That might very well be true about some Democrats, but there are more Republicans than you think that condoned (and even supported) abortion. I knew a lady one time, professed to be a Christian, was a proud staunch Republican, and made this statement regarding abortion, that "it was one less brat to feed". What was Christian about that statement? There are other moral issues to think about other than just abortion and gay rights. Of course, I believe those are wrong, but the Bible promotes care for the needy, as well. You even said yourself in a review that there moral people in every party. It sounds kind of hypocritical to me. You can vote for somebody without caring completely for their whole agenda. Everyone's life is their own, and each individual will have to answer for his/her own life. How would you like it if someone told you that you "aren't a Christian" because you smoke cigars (the Bible says your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost) and that you don't attend church (the Bible says not to forsake the assembling together)? Wouldn't that hurt your feelings. It just so happens that I wouldn't do such a thing, and neither should you. You have a right to your opinion, but you don't have a right to condemn. That being said, let's agree to disagree. Have a nice day. :-)

Three or four days ago (was this reported Oct 20/08??) we had this dire news of his grandmother's critical condition with headline blaring that he's going to leaving his campaign trail for 2 days to visit her as the news is not good... (Insert collective murmur of sympathy here). While not at his grandmother's side, and actively campaigning despite her dire condition, Obama tells a reporter that he is sorry he was nto there for his mother's death and he doesn't want ot make the same mistake with his grandmother, and indicates that it's about being there for your family when they need you. I'm sure his brother in that shack in Kenya appreciates the sentiment. Meanwhile, it's Friday October 24/08.. perhaps all she needed was a really good spin doctor?

lmorovan commented 403 days ago.
Or perhaps, a reality check? I wonder.

slocke commented 400 days ago.
missratpack, your comment about the supposed christian/republican lady you know is not running for president. so that story means nothing really. also, if you are against abortion why in the heck would you want someone in office that will make it OK!!!!

MissPackRat4Jesus commented 390 days ago.
Slocke: I didn't see your comment until today, so now I must clear things up with you. Check out my updated comment, and you will see that I have decided not to vote for him (I didn't vote for McCain, either). To answer your question, I believe when it comes to immorality, Democrats and Republicans are no different from one another. I think there is good and bad in both parties. In different ways (like I had pointed out before), but both parties are "immoral". If any politician has immoral views (be it Democrat or Republican), it is between the individual and God. And now that Barack Obama is going to be our President, don't you think it's fair that we as believers ought to PRAY for him? All politicians need prayer. I don't want to argue; I simply want you to give this some thought. Now, let's agree to disagree, and forget about the whole thing. What's been done has been done. Let God take control. Have a good day.

While we all may have a right to say just about anything, there are times when we should keep our mouths closed. Slinging angry words back and forth about issues with no easy answers is one of them. I have heard both sides on several of these issues again and again. Enough. It is talked to death. Let it lie. At this point, the election is done and over with, and continuing this is not a productive use of my energy, at least. You all decide what you're going to do. Me, I've got better things to do then sit here and argue this forever.

slocke commented 389 days ago.
Missratpack, I totally agree with you about supporting our country. I agree to disagree with you and am honestly tired of arguing the point. I am a VERY unhappy, and scared american right now and hope and just as you said Praying for Mr. Obama and our country and hope that all is well. I pray that God put a hedge of protection around us and protect us from what I fear is on its way. I totally appreciate the way you handled this and respect you for that. God Bless.

MissPackRat4Jesus commented 389 days ago.
Thanks, slocke. God bless you, too. :-)

SilverFox commented 383 days ago.
I'm with Marius on this one. Let's shift the abortion argument elsewhere, now that the election is over. Abortion will continue to be an issue ad infinitum. Nobody is going to win this argument, at least in the near future. You can regret Obama's election because he's going to appoint different kinds of judges to the U.S. Supreme Court, and you can anticipate that those judges will support Roe v. Wade. But it's a done deal, so let's shift the argument to another forum. Deal with it for now, and revisit it once the new Supreme Court justices rule on the abortion issue.

SilverFox commented 383 days ago.
P.S. Imorovan, please don't continue to change your reviews to eliminate part of what you've previously written. It makes comments seem all screwed up, if you'll notice.
