I'm a male, and I received one match from a woman in Florida that turned out to be a male who was a nigerian scam artist wanting money. So, what good does their "29 levels of personality checks" do, if they can't even filter out criminal scam artist men posing as women???
I emailed Eharmony twice about this crook with no replys to my emails. I also find it suspicious that I recieved this match just several weeks before my subscription was going to expire. Because, this person posing as a woman, really wanted to meet me and converse quickly outside of Eharmony, lead me to think that it may have been a gimmick to get me to renew my subscription.

The same thing happened to me, several times over (I'm female, middle-aged). From what I could see from my matches on eHarmony, ALL of the matches except one who contacted me were scammers. I don't know why eHarmony's 29 dimensions would consistently match me with scammers, or why eHarmony's 29 dimensions can't weed scammers out. There are some good romance scam sites out on the Internet. On those sites I even saw the same photos of people I had been matched with on eHarmony. I e-mailed eHarmony several times about this but they wouldn't give me my money back. Buyer beware: If you want to PAY lots of bucks to be matched with scammers, join eHarmony!

I totally know what you mean! I was on their site for a year and in that time I had a total of 1400 matches...I didn't meet ONE of them in person! I initiated communication with probably 90% of the people I was matched with. Of course, only a very small few ever responded at all to my communication request (probably 30 people out of 1400...so about 2%) and of those all of them poofed at some point or another. What was also frustrating is that NONE of them ever requested communication from me...NONE!! I mean, I'm no Marilyn Monroe or anything but I think I'm fairly attractive, I'm a successful engineer who owes my own condo, I play video games and love blockbuster movies, I have a good sense of humor and I think I sounded very approachable and interesting in my profile but also very modest...but seriously? No one wants to get to know me?! Anyway, my subscription ended and of course, THE VERY NEXT DAY a match I had gotten a week before mysteriously sends me a communication request...seriously eHarmony...how dumb do you think I am? Makes me think that eHarmony was just screwing around with me the entire YEAR I was a member of their horrible site.
