On November 18, 2003, The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled that gay couples are legally entitled to get married under the state's constitution, overturning a ban on same-sex marriage. President Bush has spoken out against gay marriage, and the issue figures to be important in the 2004 presidential election.

UPDATED DUE TO A COMMENT.07-11-2008 Your right God does love all but hates sin; Sin is how the bible explains gay persuasions! Yes you are right about marriage being a man’s ruling, it was first bought up around Roman times! But the very word marriage describes a Male and Female; nowhere does it include male-to-male or Female-to-Female. Your views about Christianity are obviously bias and you are in agreement with "marriage." We are all entitled to our own opinion and whether you agree or not you will not persuade me to change my mind based on what you say; because most atheists use this terminology to describe why the Bible is incorrect! You either believe the Bible is true and of God or you don't. But what is stated in Gods word regarding the act of Homosexuality and Lesbianism is very vivid and clear! You cannot believe in a faith by only taking on-board what you think is right.

 

Firstly under Gods law it is not right or is it allowed. There are many biblical references and if you want them I suggest you look them up or ask! As for GAY marriage; Marriage is symbolically for a Male and Female, not a male and male or Female and Female. If you ask anyone gay person with their head on their shoulders, you will find that they want to be life partners with all the government legislations as a married couple has.(Male & Female.) They recognize marriage is for the opposite sex! Personally I don't care what they do as they are accountable to God alone! If I'm called to witness for God then I will very quickly share my understanding of Gods word. They are no worse than someone who chooses to not be a Christian! Do I hate Gays?  NO! Do I agree with Gay marriage?   NO. Remember I follow Gods word and this opinion is based off of what I believe as a Christian!

i personally believe our GOD loves gays as he does ALL people! i guarentee you wont be punished if you support your fellow mans rights especially when it is about unconditional love. by the way... marriage is MANS law! definitely NOT from GOD unless he frequents law making facilities haha! marriage and divorce were added in the bible by the powerful kingz of the time... ie king james. top scholarz predict that over 70 percent of the bible is not from the original text! i even learned that from my extensive study of christianity in school ;) did you know that almost all allegorical references from the bible is EXACTLY the SAME stories from previous godz worshipped? check out the story of eros... virgin babe. persecution, resurrection after three dayz etc etc... the bible shuns gays for the same reason it shuns eating specific animals and even a womans menstual cycle. because they did not have the medical reasoning at the time, but they knew that it was unclean (lev and deuter). i am sure you eat split hoofed animalz and touch your wife while on her period which is a HUGE nono according to the bible ;) i love christianity for the values... unconditional love for all gods creatures, impartial, not judging and showing by example without preaching. and i still want to know what happened to jesus for half of his young life! xx den NISI

Thankyou for your comments however I will choose to agree to disagree as otherwise it gets into a theological debate. (That although I could easily do, it ends up bringing hurt and animostiy.)

okay, seriously. do you really think your god, an all-powerful being with all the worlds problems to deal with, REALLY cares about the mating customs of one out of the thousands of species of animals on this planet? no. Did you know that 40% of elephant sex is gay? Do they go to hell for that? Are there gay elephants in hell? Didn't think so. I have a simple solution for your qualms about gay marriage, and then you can just keep your religious beliefs to yourself and not shove them down everyone else's throat: If you don't believe in same-sex marriage, don't marry someone of the same sex. It's not that difficult.

In case you did not know whatsername733 I have as much a right to put how I feel, as you do! Please don't ruin this site by slandering anothers view. If you had read my whole review you would have seen that my opinion is based on MY beliefs!!! Just as much as you think I'm a religious nut, I would believe from your writing that you object to Christians views. We both have a right to review this subject.
