Jindal is the odds-on favorite right now primarily because he extends an olive branch to the conservatives, brings an impressive list of accomplishments to the job and offsets McCain's age which will be a problem for many independents, if it is not countered by a young and/or young-acting VP candidate. He is not, as many suggest, too young. Too young would be 34.
I also believe that the "party unity, my ass" movement will have a dramatic impact on the democrat convention, little more than a month away, and on the general election. I hope this isn't the first you've heard of it. But the liberal alphabet soup media is doing it's best PUMA? What PUMA? dance. What a fascinating election year.
