Matthew Bellamy (vocals/guitar/keys for Muse)
5
One of the greatest guitarists of the modern world as well as of all time. Voted #7 or better by most major music magazines and websites.
Matthew Bellamy's sensational vocals along with the combination of "sick" guitar rifts and solos as well as effects and the piano makes him easily one of the best Live performers.
Muse is one of the very few bands who manage to combine all of those mentioned above well. Not only that but Muse is also only one of the few bands that sound as good if not better during live performances.
Matthew Bellamy's inprov. intros to songs keeps the fans and the viewers wondering what the next song will be. Once again, one of the very few guitarists who combine an Effects Scratch board into most songs with ease and for greater listening entertainment.
Matthew Bellamy manages to always give 110% if not more in all his performances, both instrumentally and vocally making him easily one of the best guitarists as well as the frontman for one of the greatest modern bands. Having won the awards for Best Live Act and Best Live Band, 3 years running, it is quite evident that Muse is definately the type of band that pleases and entertains always.
Even though many may critisise him for being "cocky" or "up himself", however he is quite the opposite being quite shy during live performances, mostly saying a humble "Thank you" or "Thank you very much". Instead drummer Dominic Howard tends to greet and interact with the audience.
If you have only just heard of them or haven't watched much of their material it is a MUST that you go to youtube.com and search for some of their videos from HAARP their live performance at Wembley.
"Muse is by far one of the greatest rock bands of the modern day."
