But Anna Wintour's vogue is static, trends-focused, and a play-it-safe follower of the European goods. You need strong editors to interpret collections with vision. American vogue has none of that. It aspires to be conservative, preppy, "classically beautiful." Its muse/model is the East-coast socialite. I don't see it going anywhere.
