I don't know that he's particularly polarizing, people on one end of the spectrum listen to him and think he's brilliant and at the other end they think he's an asshole and a wind bag. But his comments and show don't really make any impact on the political debate do they? He speaks to a convereted audience and is ignored by the rest of the world. Everyone in the political centre is watching Charles Gibson because he reminds them of the father they wanted to be closer to but could never work up the courage to tell him that they love him. Or they watch Brian Williams for the hairstyling tips and Katie Couric because they think she's sexy. Maybe I have the last two turned around.
