My coffee maker broke after a tiny little plastic part broke off. I'm very unhappy. Why do they use plastic on parts that will wear out in a year?

and this is Gevalias problem? One star for a broken part? All coffee makers are plastic. What about the coffe? Was it good?

You're right, a lot of coffee makers are made with cheap plastic parts. I had to search through quite a few coffee makers before buying a Kitchen Aid brand. As for the coffee, I received the maker separately, but I have tasted Gevalia's coffee and don't like it. It tastes like truck-stop coffee.
