My hands used to sweat profusely (since birth) and nothing I used worked. My hands would literally drip with perspiration even in cold weather. They would sweat so much I ALWAYS had to hold a piece of paper towel in my hands. I ran across a show on tv years ago about a teenager with the same problem (hyperhidrosis) and he had Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy (ETS) surgery to relieve the problem. I had the surgery about 6 years ago which stopped the sweating immediately. The problem is that the surgery did not stop my feet from sweating. I cannot wear sandals, and must wear some type socks at all times (even in the summer). My doctor has recommended Drysol and it did nothing. I can have another surgery for lumbar sympathectomy to stop the problem of my feet sweating, however the insurance companies consider this cosmetic and will not cover the costs. I highly recommend you looking into ETS; I just wish I would have had it done earlier. I have found that insurance companies are more apt to pay for that. Good luck!
