Science Diet 4

My Great Pyr. surgeon recommended science diet j/d. I can see a change in my big boy already. I have to mix the dry with canned to get him to eat it, but other than that this food is working for him.
He was diagnosed with Arthritis and Osteochondritis Dissecans at the very young age of 2 1/2. I wish I had always fed my baby this food.
Thanks,
Mary of Alabama

Save yourself some money, and save your dog some years, and start feeding a worthwhile food. Your vet won't recommend anything they're not being paid to recommend, so you need to research it yourself. ANY formula of Science Diet is a poor food, and most people recognize that. The way you save money is that the good food costs a bit more, but the dog wastes less (is "corn" anywhere on your SD bag's label? If so, that's in and out, no benefit to the dog at all, just money wasted, and more piles in your yard.) Also, you save a lot of money because your dog is healthier, so you have less vet bills.

Where did this rumor get started? VETS ARE NOT RETARDED. THEY ARE NOT IN S.D.'s POCKET, IF THEY RECOMMEND A FOOD ITS IS BECAUSE THEY THINK IT IS A GOOD PRODUCT.
