Some great electric work in his heydey.  Won't put him at the highest level- but ask rock guitarists how easy they think it is to match him note-for-note.

They'd have to have bad taste to want to "match him note-for-note" (and I've heard music store clerks do just that).

The better music store clerks will point you to bands that are actually interesting instead. Look for the dude with black plastic framed spectacles or the chick wearing the combat boots and plaid skirt to looks like its from a private girl school.
