Sarah Palin - Governor of Alaska 1

**Update**not that this surprises me, but she also broke the state ethics code:

**Original Review** I think Palin was a reactive and risky choice for McCain since she's so inexperienced and hasn't dealt with national exposure. She's far from ready to take over if he were to fall ill, and let's face it, he's a year away from the average US life expectancy for men...It's a problem. Although I know a lot of women (not myself, I've been an Obama supporter from the beginning) were all gung-ho HRC, I like to think only a small portion of those are highly conservative when it comes to cultural values, so I'm not sold that her intense commitment to being pro-life and having a large family will win her points there (and I _really_ doubt her moose-hunting skills and NRA membership are gonna impress women hailing from the Clinton camp). It will be interesting to see how she handles the public spotlight, and also how her public speaking skills translate to a debate. I've only seen her converse with people who agree with her so far, and that's really not so tough with her pageant background. McCain's debate skills leave much to be desired as he generally doesn't seem to pay close attention to the questions being asked. If she's even half that bad it should make for an amusing spectacle. On the plus side, since I'm _not_ a neo-con....Fantastic choice...I can't wait for November! :P

How can experience be a factor for you, your guy has none.

Of the four names on the two big party tickets, none has direct experience as President of the United States and its ludicrous to suppose that there is any job experience that is close in terms of fulfilling the requirements, not even running another country. So then we are down to life experience, of which all four seem to have something interesting to bring to the table.

I'm more criticizing their marketing plan, honestly. Experience is being brought up as a major factor by the GOP in regard to Obama...it will come off as disingenuous from here on out because of the VP Pick.

Palin was born in 1964. She graduated from the University of Idaho in 1987 with a degree in journalism. She's worked as a sports reporter for two Anchorage TV stations and has been a businesswoman running a snowmobile/ATV shop with her husband from 1994 to 1997. Aside from 20 months as state governor, Palin served as chairwoman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, two terms as mayor of Wasilla (population 6,500) and two terms on the city council. Palin is married, with five children.

don't worry, I read Wikipedia too :) Her approval rating has a lot to do with taking on Governorship immediately following years of corruption and moving to eliminate a bunch of pork-barrel crap (and appointments) that her predecessor Murkowski implemented. Also interesting to note: Her husband works for BP.

Palin broke nothing...unless you believe the sleeze merchants sent by the Obama campaign to dig up dirt on her.

lol...nice fitman. Victor - The bipartisan commission that concluded this was in place before she was nominated as VP.
