Sarah Palin - Governor of Alaska 5

1. Intelligence. 2. Integrity 3. Morality 4. 16 years in elected office. 5. Ahem...Obama where were you in 92? Palin was already in government. It's oxymoronic that Dems are slamming McCain for choosing a VP with little experience... when the Dems choose a prez with none.

I'm not going to slam Obama for his experience, or lack of it. But the Dems are now talking about how this lady has no real experience, and that being a mayor of a small town doesn't qualify her to be a candidate for the Vice-Presidency. So small towns don't matter? Sad.

Sorry, dude, running a town of 6,000 doesn't qualify you for dealing with Pakistan. Frankly, that's just delusional.

I think what's clear is that both party's leaderships are telling us that experience doesn't matter as much as other things when picking a prez (and you have to think of Palin in terms of the Presidency given McCain's age and the fact he has a pretty nasty strain of skin cancer). This seems like incredibly risky strategy by the GOP, because if you throw the experience issue out, Obama looks a whole lot stronger.

What is delusional is thinking making a "Ain't I Great" tour of Europe qualifies someone to deal with Pakistan, or any other country for that matter. You can throw out the experience issue if you want, that doesn't change the fact that Palin has accomplished more in any given stretch of time as Governor of Alaska than Obama has accomplished in his political career. We're not just getting rhetoric from Palin, she's already done a lot of the things she's talking about. The whopping 140 or so days Obama spent in the senate were apparently spent preparing to run for president as he didn't seem to spend much time voting. McCain's health history is notable, but I haven't seen where it's been that much of a concern. We've had older presidents before, we've had president's with health concerns before.
