Irishgit, wasn't Stockdale supposed to be an interim veep candidate until Perot found one? I always thought that he never really wanted to be Perot's veep, but had to fill in first for Perot as the independent presidential candidate when he temporarily dropped out. It was only when Perot came back on that he was bumped to the veep slot. Can you clarify this for me? I'm not so sure. Yeah, Stockdale, as good a man as he was, didn't know where he was or what to do. Sad, really.
