Jared 1

I've had a 2.5 carat heirloom diamond for years now, never left it anywhere but my personal jewelers. However, last Christmas I went into Jareds to buy some diamonds and when they asked if I'd like my ring cleaned, I, of course said yes. Imagine my surprise in August when I ran to Jareds to have this diamond cleaned and engraved for my son's fiance, when they informed me it was a fake! Please keep in mind the diamond is not only appraised, but charted and very valuable! Jared's NEVER takes a stone in to clean without checking that it's real first. So, it was a real diamond at Christmas and a fake in August. Didn't take long to figure out that they had switched my stone for a poor quality CZ when they cleaned it! When I called corporate, convieniently, they don't record jewelry they take back for cleaning, in other words, they blew me off! I have contacted our BBB and the Attorney General, who, guess what? Have a list a mile long on Jared's. And have rated them the worst possible rating. I am just sickened by all of this. Any similar experiences? I am positive my diamond is not the only one switched.

If you had your ring cleaned and left it at the store then they are supposed to write up a repair ticket. If they did this they should have filled it out and checked that it was a real diamond and would have it in their computer system. I worked there for many years I know this for a fact

Ok let me get my facts straight. at christmas you had your ring cleaned at Jared. this only takes a mnute ar two unless your ring is filthy. How exactly do you think the switched your diamond in that tinme frame? Do you think that there are fake 2.5ct stones just l;aying around in the repair shops? it is not possible, or do able not to mention that there is live audio and video survaillance everywhere except the bathrooms. so how exactly are these people supposed to have committed this dasterdly crime? i aslo have worked for th ecompany and i can tell you we don't even carry or work on fake diamonds there are none in the store! did anyone else touch this diamond between christmas and august?

Happened to me but happened with a real diamond.. How can I prove that it did not happen in the bathroom????????????????????????? All I know, if I had a 113 pointer, g color marquise. It is gone........... I ended up with a horrible I color yellow garbage ring, I took it back, they ordered up something new, and for another 2 grand.... I got a cloudy horrible looking marquise, shallow.....and it has a strong blue fluorescence. Terrible. Told several times, oh, unless you are in the sun, or under a blue light, no one will know.. Guess what??????? I never get one compliment on this cloudy ring..... I should have purchased a S1 or lower and a H in color vs. a VVS2 and a so called F in color. Please this is horrible to do to anyone.. I do believe that her ring could have been switched... and since you worked there........ YOu should know.. that they do not always have their diamond tester out. No they do not. Last time I was there, no one tested my diamonds, and no one looked the scope with me to make sure my diamond was indeed my diamond. I saw last evening how fast a diamond could be popped out of the setting.. This is a horrible rip off and I wish someone would fix all this, but they will say it is to late.. since 2004 this garbage has been going on. I want a clean cut diamond. Not going to happen til someone sues them. My initial diamond was obviously done as inside job, because the sku numbers matched one paper, but not the other??? YOu figure it out.
I want a new ring. But, I bet I will never get one. I hate this cloudy piece of garbage. Oh, guess who figured the sku numbers did not match??? The asst manager. So.... how does this happen?
