Macy's 1

I purchased Macy's "Hotel Collection" towels back in December 2007. Within 3 months almost all of the towels were discolored as if someone poured bleach on them. We do not use pure bleach in our laundry. Infrequently we use color safe bleach so I thought this could be the cause.

I decided to give the towels another try assuming that our laundering ruined the towels. I purchased the same "Macy's Hotel Collection" towels in another color 2 months ago and have been very careful w/the laundering. The same discoloration occurred again. Looks like someone poured bleach on the center of the towel. The dye has faded significantly over about 3/4 of the towel.

Anyone else have this problem? Is it me or Macy's?

The exact same thing happened to me. I bought one set of blue hotel towels and after a few washings it looked as if I had partially bleached them. I couldn't figure out what (I thought) I had done to them. Then my daughter bought a set of Hotel Collection towels in a light brown color and the same thing happened to her. These towels feel great, but boy, they sure don't hold onto their color. They'll only look good for a couple of weeks so beware, and know that it's not anything you are doing to them. I just don't understand how they can sell these towels with such a huge flaw.
