John McCain

John McCain did not
disclose his connections to a controversial group that was implicated
in a secretive plot to supply arms to Nicaraguan militia groups during
the Iran-Contra affair in the early 1980s. McCain did not list his service on the board of the U.S. Council for
World Freedom on mandatory congressional disclosure forms asking about
positions he held outside government.
McCain's current strategy is to try to make people think Obama has bad character by red herring issues like Wm. Ayers, but it's clear that as more of the truth about McCain comes out, McCain is proving to be the one with badly stained character. He was imprisoned in Vietnam, but that doesn't at all mean his character since then has been sterling nor that he should get a free pass, nor that he's the best qualified candidate for president. He was one of the Keating 5, charged with doing Charles Keating's bidding in the savings and loan scandals, although the affair was whitewashed. McCain has since admitted he was wrong.
