I wasn't even old enough to vote his first term, and really didn't find much interest in politics at the time. But I do believe that he could be classified as one of the most respected Republican Presidents we ever had.

fitman's idiotic non-sequitur aside, I agree. The spontaneous outpouring of affection for him by so many ordinary Americans, right after his death, surprised me. It was an indicator that those few who hate him (still) were hushed for a few precious days. RIP.
