Located in the northeastern United States, New Hampshire covers approximately 9,351 sq. miles. New Hampshire was the first of the original 13 colonies to declare independence from England. The capital of New Hampshire is Concord.

New Hampshire 3

A few years ago I visited New Hampshire to buy some hand made dining chairs.

While there, we stopped at Harts Turkey Farm Restaurant in Merideth and I struck up a conversation with the owner. The Hart family moved to Merideth from New Jersey  three generations ago, but Mr. Hart told me his family was still considered 'foreign' by the natives.

So, while it's a nice place to visit, I wouldn't suggest moving there and subjecting your kids to the inevitable discrimination and abuse they would face as 'foreigners'.

You went to Hart's? Isn't it great? As far as I'm concerned, they are natives of N.H.

Yeah, it's a great restaurant, and unlike 'real' New Hampshire folks, the Harts are extremely hospitable.

I used to go to that place as a kid. My family loved it but now they go to Wright's Chicken Farm in Rhode Island, it's closer.

Hah, I've been to Wright's. East Coasters unite!
